Film and Publication Board
The Film and Publication Board (FPB) is a statutory body established in terms of the Films and Publications Act of 1996 to regulate the creation, production, possession and distribution of films, videos, DVDs, computer games and other publications by imposing restrictions (including appropriate viewership age) on these publications. The Board classifies all film material distributed in South Africa, except for that which is shown on television. Broadcasters have their own regulatory body.
