Registering as a Department of Home Affairs supplier

The Department of Home Affairs has embarked on a process to transform its procurement processes with the ultimate aim of introducing supply-chain practices adapted to South Africa’s unique business climate.

In order to comply with the Supply Chain Management Framework referred to in the Public Finance Management Act, the Department has developed a supplier database. All suppliers must be registered on the database in order to have an opportunity to do business with the Department.

To register on the suppliers’ database, potential suppliers have to be taxpayers in good standing (i.e. submit a tax clearance certificate annually), and must complete and submit the following forms and documents:

  • Application form
  • Bank Details (completed and stamped by the bank)
  • Declaration of Interest
  • Declaration of Past Supply Chain Management Practices
  • Valid Original Tax Clearance Certificate (Original or a certified colour copy. No black and white copies or faxes accepted).
  • Certificate of Registration issued by the registrar of Companies & Close Corporations (CK2), (if applicable)
  • Company Profile (optional)
  • BBBEE Certificate (if applicable)
  • Commodity list
  • Certified copies of the members of the company

The above documents must be submitted to:
