MINISTER DLAMINI ZUMA AND PREMIER ZWELI MKHIZE TO HAND OVER HOUSES AND ID'S IN BULWER

Bulwer – Minister of Home Affairs, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will, today, Friday 18 December 2009, join the Premier of Kwazulu/Natal Dr. Zweli Mkhize and several MEC on an official visit to Bulwer in Midlands, Kwazulu/Natal.

The visit to Bulwer comes within the context of recent storms that devastated the area, causing serious damage to infrastructure including houses that were destroyed while a number of citizens lost their ID’s.

Accordingly, the visit, which is part of the ongoing reconstruction and development programme of Bulwer, is aimed at handing over houses to ten families whose homes were destroyed, while simultaneously delivering 250 ID’s to those citizens who lost their base documents during the recent storms.

The programme for the visit is as follows:

11h00- arrival of Minister Dlamini Zuma/Premier Mkhize

11h15-church service-Bulwer Community hall

12h30-Minister Dlamini Zuma hands over ID’s

12h40- walkabout and hand over of ten houses including other ID’s

13h00- Question and Answer session with the Media
