These were the first words to catch the eye of clients entering the Regional Office Pretoria of the Department of Home Affairs during the Public Service Week from 25 to 28 September 2001.
Being a continuation of the "Batho Pele" (People First) campaign, the week aimed to highlight the Public Service's commitment to better service delivery. Activities during the week included an open week for departments, interpersonal interaction and a publicity campaign. Service Delivery Questionnaires was available to clients by means of which they can rate the Department's services and offer any comment or suggestions for improvements, whilst senior staff was also available to assist clients where necessary.
Members of the Public are also welcome to visit or contact their nearest Home Affairs Regional Office for more information.
